some blurry pictures from our favorite restaurant

last tuesday we went to dinner with some new friends at our favorite restaurant "Frontera Grill". the chef is Rick Bayless who has a television show on PBS called "Mexico, one plate at a time". the food is amazing! we started with an appetizer platter with cheesy quesadillas, crispy chicken taquitos with sour cream, tangy ceviche tostadas, crunchy jcama salad and guacamole:
Brad had some amazing looking enchiladas. Enchiladas de Chorizo Verde de Borrego: homemade tortillas rolled around green lamb chorizo and caramelized onions. Roasted tomatillo sauce, melted Indiana Jack, arugula salad;
Cassia had some really blurry enchiladas. Enchiladas de Mole Poblano: homemade tortillas rolled around Gunthorp free-range chicken, doused with Mexicos most famous mole; black beans:
oh, you can see the rim of a glass above with salt on it, i guess the drinks are quite fantastic too, since i don't really drink i don't know but everyone else seemed quite impressed with them. Shauna and i both had tacos for our meal. i had them made with duck and Shauna had beef, they are served with frijoles charros, guacamole, and homemade corn tortillas! they are so so good! needless to say, if you are in Chicago we would really recommend this food.
